The couple, once a widely followed pair in Croatia, met in 2004 and married in Las Vegas the following year. They have two children, Taisha (19) and Leone (20). Although they divorced in 2014, Nives recently clarified their current relationship, describing it as one of deep, non-romantic emotion. She stated that Dino remains the father of her children and her best friend, a bond she expects to last a lifetime.

Nives also touched upon the reasons for their separation, explaining that it wasn't a specific moment of lost love but rather a mutual realization that they were not suited for each other long-term. Interestingly, the ex-spouses lived in close proximity until recently, with Dino residing in a neighboring apartment. Nives noted that this arrangement benefited the children, allowing them to move easily between homes, and they also maintain a good relationship with Dino's current girlfriend.
