Director Jo Nam-hyung has vehemently denied circulating rumors that he confirmed dating rumors among cast members of the TVING drama 'The Legendary Cook' through direct messages. Jo took to his social media account to address the false claims, posting an image with the text "Don't fabricate, never DM-ed!" to refute the allegations. Recently, screenshots of alleged direct messages between Jo and a netizen have been circulating on online communities and social media platforms. These purported messages suggested that Jo had acknowledged the romantic relationships between actors Park Ji-hoon and Jeon So-young, as well as Lee Sang-yi and Han Dong-hee.

The fabricated posts claimed that when asked about the "double dating rumors" involving the actors, Jo responded with phrases implying confirmation, such as, "It's difficult for me to say anything specific, but such harmonies wouldn't have been created for no reason, right?" This response was interpreted as an acknowledgment of the alleged relationships. However, Jo's direct refutation has clarified that the DM content is false, effectively ending the baseless dating rumors as a mere misunderstanding or fabrication.

'The Legendary Cook' is a military-themed cooking drama that follows the growth of Private Kang Sung-jae, played by Park Ji-hoon, into a "legendary cook." The 12-episode series concluded its popular run on June 16th, having aired since May 11th.
