Director Lee Joon-ik's short film 'Father's Home Cooking' invited to Korea Short Film Awards screening

Director Lee Joon-ik's short film 'Father's Home Cooking' will be screened at the first Korea Short Film Awards on the 29th at the Korean Film Archive in Mapo-gu, Seoul. A post-screening audience engagement session with the director will follow.

The film is based on the webtoon of the same name by author Gori-ta. It tells the story of a husband, Ha-eung (played by Jung Jin-young), who learns to cook for the first time when his wife, Soon-ae (played by Lee Jung-eun), can no longer do so, and how this changes the family's relationships. Actors Lee Jung-eun and Jung Jin-young star as the couple, alongside Byun Yo-han and Park Ji-yeon.

'Father's Home Cooking' was also invited to the 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in July. Director Lee Joon-ik, known for films like 'King and the Clown,' 'The Throne,' 'Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet,' and 'The Book of Fish,' has adapted the original work's essence of a family's intimate voices through food. He enhanced the immersion with storytelling and visual composition suitable for short films, along with delicate character interpretations.
