Disneyland California Reimagines Park with New Shows by 2027, Avengers Attractions by 2028

Disneyland California is embarking on a major multi-year transformation, with significant changes to its beloved shows and the introduction of new attractions slated to begin in February 2027. The Walt Disney Company unveiled these ambitious plans during the "Horizons: A Carousel of Progress" presentation at the "D23: Ultimate Fan Event."

A key focus of the renovation is Tomorrowland, which will be reimagined to preserve the area's original spirit of optimism and innovation while introducing novel experiences. Disney aims to honor the legacy of Tomorrowland's creation by Walt Disney as "a window into a world of wondrous ideas" while preparing it for future generations of fans.

Beyond Tomorrowland, several iconic shows are set to return with updates. A refreshed "Remember… Dreams Come True" fireworks spectacular will illuminate Disneyland Park starting February 2027. Concurrently, an updated version of the "World of Color" show will debut at Disney California Adventure Park. The "Magic Happens" parade is also scheduled to return to Disneyland Park in the summer of 2027.

Looking further ahead to 2028, Disneyland Resort will expand its Avengers Campus significantly. Two new attractions, "Avengers Infinity Defense" and "Stark Flight Lab," are planned to open, effectively doubling the size of the existing campus. These attractions promise immersive experiences, blending physical sets with advanced audiovisual elements. Additionally, Pixar Animation Studios will collaborate with Disney's "Imagineers" on a future project at California Adventure, paying homage to the film "Coco."
