Dogos XV, Pampas, Capibaras XV, and Tarucas advance to Super Rugby Americas 2026 semifinals; Peñarol eliminated

The 2026 Super Rugby Americas (SRA) tournament has finalized its semifinal matchups, with Dogos XV facing Tarucas and Pampas set to play Capibaras XV. This stage of the premier rugby franchise competition in the Americas will take place on June 19.

Notably, the reigning champions and three-time winners, Peñarol, have been eliminated. The Uruguayan team finished sixth in the standings, failing to advance past the first round.

Dogos XV emerged as the dominant force in the initial stage, securing 60 points after a decisive 48-20 victory over Yacaré XV in the final round. They finished a comfortable seven points ahead of their closest competitor, Pampas. Pampas secured their semifinal spot with a strong 47-14 win against Peñarol, ending the initial stage with 53 points.

Capibaras, a new Argentine franchise, claimed third place with 44 points despite a 42-15 loss to Tarucas in their final match. Tarucas secured fourth place with 43 points, rounding out the semifinalists. All matches are streamed live on Disney+ with select games broadcast on ESPN.
