A secret musical treasure from country music legend Dolly Parton is waiting to be discovered, but not for another two decades. The song, titled "My Place in History," has been sealed in a time capsule at Parton's beloved Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Fans will have to wait until January 19, 2046, to hear the recording, which is slated for release on what would have been Parton's 100th birthday. The song, recorded in CD format, is stored in a "Dream Box" at the DreamMore Resort within the park.

Parton, who recently passed away at the age of 80, had alluded to the existence of this hidden track in a 2022 appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon. She humorously recounted regretting locking it away, adding that she included a CD player and instructions for listening.

"If any of you are still around when they open that box, I hope you like my song," Parton had told the audience, her words now carrying a poignant weight following her passing. The news of her death has prompted tributes from numerous global music stars.
