Dominican woman's son arrested in Bronx death

Authorities have taken Bob Johnny Guzmán Soto, 33, into custody in connection with the death of his mother, Josefina Soto, who was found unresponsive with head and torso injuries in her Bronx apartment on Friday. Police had been searching for Guzmán Soto since the discovery.

Paramedics pronounced Josefina Soto dead at the scene. Details regarding the specific charges her son will face have not yet been released by the authorities. Her husband, Johnny Guzmán, discovered his wife's body when he returned to their apartment, where they had lived together for over 30 years.

Neighbors told Telemundo 47 that Guzmán Soto reportedly has a mental health condition and that there had been previous incidents at the home.
