Dominik Livaković officially joins Barcelona, leaving Fenerbahçe

Croatian national team goalkeeper Dominik Livaković has officially joined Barcelona, marking a new chapter in his career after leaving Fenerbahçe. The Catalan club announced the transfer on social media, while Fenerbahçe bid farewell to their former player.

Fenerbahçe confirmed the permanent transfer, stating, "Our club has reached an agreement with Barcelona for the permanent transfer of Dominik Livaković, who joined Fenerbahçe in 2023. We thank Dominik for his efforts wearing our club's jersey and wish him much success in his new career chapter. Farewell, Livaković."

Livaković moved to Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2023 for six million euros from Dinamo Zagreb. He was the first-choice goalkeeper for the Turkish club but reportedly fell out of favor with coach Jose Mourinho, prompting his decision to seek a new club. Barcelona has indicated they are open to loaning Livaković before he potentially becomes the second-choice goalkeeper behind Joan Garcia, replacing Wojciech Szczesny.

During his tenure at Fenerbahçe, Livaković played 74 matches, conceding 80 goals and keeping 24 clean sheets.
