Dong-A MX School students develop AI web service for business case analysis

Students participating in the K-Digital Training (KDT) program 'Dong-A MX School' are making significant strides in developing practical, real-world applications for advanced digital technologies. A notable achievement is the creation of 'DBR Case Atlas,' an innovative AI-driven web service designed to assist businesses in navigating complex challenges.

The DBR Case Atlas functions by allowing users to input their business concerns in natural language. The AI then analyzes these queries against a vast repository of management cases from the Dong-A Business Review (DBR). It identifies similar corporate examples and proposes actionable strategies, providing users with relevant insights directly applicable to their situations.

This project involved students applying a range of sophisticated skills, including natural language processing, semantic search, data modeling, and web service development. They also implemented a unique feature that visually maps related business cases on a two-dimensional chart, based on similarity and industry characteristics. This visual representation aids users in understanding the landscape of potential solutions.

Following the project's completion and evaluation, students Kim Jeong-eun and Hong Seok-jin have transitioned into internships at Dong-A Ilbo. There, they are continuing to refine the DBR Case Atlas, focusing on enhancing user experience, improving search accuracy, and optimizing data utilization. Their goal is to integrate the service into the official DBR website, demonstrating a seamless transition from educational training to practical industry contribution.
