Driver dies instantly after car slides under parked truck on Timișoara ring road

A tragic accident on the Timișoara ring road has claimed the life of a 57-year-old driver. The man's car collided with a parked truck near Moșnița Nouă, sliding underneath the trailer in a violent impact. Emergency responders, including firefighters and medical personnel, were dispatched to the scene.

Despite their efforts, rescuers were unable to save the driver, who sustained injuries incompatible with life. The man was trapped inside the wreckage, and extraction efforts were underway. The incident occurred around noon on Tuesday, August 18.

Traffic on the ring road was completely halted as police began their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities have opened a criminal case for manslaughter and are working to determine why the driver lost control of his vehicle. The truck was reportedly parked at the time of the collision.
