Drone hits merchant ship in Black Sea; one dead, two injured

A drone attack on a merchant ship in the Black Sea has led to a fatality and injuries among the crew. A vessel sailing under the Panamanian flag was targeted, resulting in the death of one crew member and injuries to two others, one of whom is in critical condition, according to the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP).

One member of the crew died, and two were injured, one of whom is in serious condition.

Panamanian authorities are actively gathering official information and are in contact with the involved parties. While the origin of the drone attack is under investigation, the AMP has issued a strong advisory to all ships. They are urged to avoid navigating through Ukrainian and Russian waters in the Black Sea, as well as the Azov Sea to the north, due to the heightened risks.
