Drone with explosives found at German airport; driver kicks it from air

An airport shuttle bus driver in Germany is being hailed as a hero after reportedly preventing a potential drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport. A modified drone, equipped with an explosive device and high-performance plastic explosives, was discovered near a Ukrainian An-124 cargo plane.

The incident occurred when the driver noticed the low-flying drone and, in a swift action, kicked it out of the air. The drone crashed nearby, averting what German authorities are calling a serious attack on the country's logistics infrastructure that could have endangered national security. The discovery led to an immediate suspension of all flights at the airport and a bomb disposal robot was deployed.
