Drug Smuggling Attempt Foiled at Sebta Border Crossing

Customs and National Security forces at the Sebta border crossing have successfully intercepted a major drug smuggling operation. The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of hashish intended for illegal entry.

During the operation, a 32-year-old French citizen was apprehended as he attempted to cross into the occupied territory of Sebta. A thorough search of his vehicle revealed approximately 23 kilograms of hashish. The illicit substance had been meticulously concealed within the car using sophisticated camouflage techniques to evade detection.

Following the discovery, the suspect was immediately detained. He has been transferred to the judicial police services in Tetouan for further questioning and investigation. The seized drugs and the vehicle used in the smuggling attempt have been confiscated by customs authorities.

The case is now under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office. Authorities aim to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the incident, seeking to uncover the full scope of the smuggling network and any potential accomplices involved in this cross-border criminal activity.
