Drugs found hidden in car's gearshift boot lead to two arrests in Turkey

Turkish police have arrested two men and seized a quantity of drugs hidden within the gearshift boot of a car. The operation, conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Crimes Bureau in the district, was the result of intelligence indicating a drug shipment was being transported into the area from Antalya.

Authorities tracked the vehicle suspected of carrying the illicit substances. During a search after the car was stopped, officers discovered various types of narcotics concealed inside the gearshift boot. The individuals in the car, identified as Ali Şendoğan, Yıldıray Nantu, and K.D., were taken into custody.

Following legal proceedings, Ali Şendoğan and Yıldıray Nantu were formally arrested and remanded in custody. The third suspect, K.D., was released on judicial control, a measure that typically involves reporting to authorities and restrictions on travel. The investigation aimed to disrupt drug trafficking routes into the district.
