Drunk driver kills one, injures three in multi-car crash in Seoul's Gangnam district

A fatal multi-vehicle collision occurred in Seoul's affluent Gangnam district when a Maserati driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, crashed into several vehicles, including a motorcycle and a taxi. The incident tragically resulted in the death of a 40-year-old male motorcyclist.

The accident took place late on August 27th near the Bangbang Overpass in Seocho-gu. The Maserati reportedly collided with a motorcycle, a bus, and a taxi. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Three other individuals, including bus passengers and the taxi driver, sustained minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police apprehended the Maserati driver at the scene as a suspect. Preliminary investigations confirmed that the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
