DSS, Other Security Forces Neutralise Two Suspected Kidnappers, Rescue Abducted Man In Imo

A coordinated operation by Nigeria's Department of State Services (DSS), alongside other security forces and local vigilantes, has led to the successful rescue of a 29-year-old man abducted in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State. The victim was seized last Tuesday while returning home from the market. Kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N15 million for his release. The rescue occurred early Thursday morning in Ihioma Community, Orlu LGA, during an intelligence-led operation. During the rescue, two suspected members of the kidnapping syndicate were neutralized, and high-caliber weapons and ammunition were recovered. The victim has been reunited with his family. Security sources stated that this operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks and combat criminal activities within the region, demonstrating a growing synergy among security agencies.
