Dubai International Airport marks women’s day with Dubai Mallathon

Emirati women, airport colleagues, families and members of the public gathered at Dubai International Airport for a celebratory walk through Terminal 3, turning the Dubai Mallathon into a workplace and community event.

Dubai Airports staged the walk as part of its month-long Emirati Women’s Day programme. Members of the Dubai Airports Women’s Network, known as DAWN, joined other participants to mark this year’s theme, “Moving Forward. Emerging Together.”

The event recognised the achievements and contributions of Emirati women across Dubai Airports, the aviation sector and the UAE. It also highlighted DAWN’s role in helping colleagues connect, learn from one another and build supportive professional networks.

By combining physical activity with community engagement, the walk promoted wellbeing, inclusion and connection. The citywide initiative was launched in 2025 by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
