Dubai positions itself as launchpad for next generation of global founders

Dubai is solidifying its position as a hub for global entrepreneurs with the introduction of the Graduate Program in Entrepreneurial Leadership (GPEL). This initiative by Tetr College of Business aims to equip aspiring founders with the practical skills to build and scale businesses beyond their home markets.

The year-long program follows a unique structure, guiding participants through distinct phases. The journey begins in Shanghai, focusing on AI-led venture building and supply chain execution. It then moves to London, where businesses are tested and refined through branding, finance, and market strategy. The final leg takes place in Dubai, immersing students in the city's dynamic ecosystem to prepare their ventures for global markets.

"The world does not need more people who understand entrepreneurship in theory; it needs more people who can build, adapt and execute in rapidly changing environments," said Tarun Gangwar, Co-founder of Tetr College of Business. "GPEL is our response to that need. The ability to navigate uncertainty, respond to changing market realities and build across different contexts is increasingly what defines successful founders and these are the capabilities we hope to develop through this programme."

Academic partnerships with Fudan School of Management in Shanghai and Imperial College London lend significant weight to the program. Fudan University provides access to China's entrepreneurial landscape and expertise in business and technology, while Imperial College London contributes its strengths in science, innovation, and industry connections. Dubai's role is crucial, offering participants direct exposure to investors, businesses, and international networks as they finalize their investment-ready ventures.
