Duksung Women's University completes training for teachers on 2027 college admissions guidance

Duksung Women's University recently hosted a seminar for approximately 300 high school teachers, focusing on enhancing their guidance capabilities for college admissions, particularly in the competitive medical and pharmaceutical fields for the 2027 academic year. The event, held at the Duksung Art Hall, was organized as part of the university's contribution to the High School Education Contribution University Support Project.

The seminar aimed to equip teachers with specialized knowledge and practical strategies to navigate the changing landscape of college admissions. Key sessions included a presentation by Kim Ji-yoon, a senior admissions officer at Duksung Women's University, who detailed the evaluation methods for the pharmaceutical sciences track, emphasizing the comprehensive student record (Hakseungbu Jonghap) and providing real-world case studies.

Adding a student perspective, Go Yeon-woo, a fifth-year student in the pharmacy program, shared her personal journey through the application process and her experiences in the program, which resonated well with the attending teachers. Further sessions covered the medical, dental, oriental medicine, veterinary, and pharmacy (MD-OMV) tracks, with presentations from admissions officers and representatives from the Gyeonggi College Admissions Association.

Topics ranged from understanding recent trends and specific admission policies for these highly sought-after fields to strategies for preparing student records and excelling in interviews. The university's admissions office expressed gratitude to the teachers for their dedication and stressed the importance of close collaboration between universities and high schools to provide tailored guidance for students.
