Duksung Women's University Professor Han Eun-young Receives Prime Minister's Commendation

Professor Han Eun-young from Duksung Women's University's College of Pharmacy has been honored with the Prime Minister's Commendation. The award recognizes her significant contributions to enhancing drug safety management in South Korea.

Professor Han received the commendation at the 40th anniversary ceremony for the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, held on June 26. The event, themed 'One Step Closer to a Drug-Free Nation,' brought together over 280 individuals and representatives from various organizations, including the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Korean Association Against Drug Abuse, and the Korean Hospital Pharmacists Association.

Professor Han Eun-young's award is the culmination of her efforts to quietly dedicate herself to narcotics research and contribute to the development of national drug safety policies.

Her research focused on the simultaneous analysis of narcotics, a method that improves both the efficiency and accuracy of drug detection. This work has been instrumental in strengthening the national system for managing illicit substances. Professor Han previously dedicated 14 years to drug analysis and research at the National Forensic Service before joining Duksung Women's University in 2013. She has since continued her research through various government-funded projects.

Duksung Women's University President Min Jae-hong praised Professor Han's dedication, stating, "Professor Han Eun-young's award is the culmination of her efforts to quietly dedicate herself to narcotics research and contribute to the development of national drug safety policies." He added that the university would continue to support research activities that contribute to public health and social safety.
