Dynamo Dresden cruises into second round of DFB-Pokal with 6-0 win

Dynamo Dresden comfortably advanced to the second round of the DFB-Pokal, dispatching Regionalliga side Westfalia Rhynern with a decisive 6-0 victory. The professional second-division team asserted dominance from the outset, ensuring they avoided an early cup exit that plagued them last season.

For Rhynern, this marked their debut in the DFB-Pokal, and it proved to be a challenging introduction. Despite having former Bundesliga player Marco Stiepermann on the coaching bench, the team struggled to gain possession or create any meaningful scoring opportunities against a superior opponent.

Dresden showcased their attacking prowess early on. Jonas Sterner opened the scoring in the eighth minute, followed by goals from Niklas Hauptmann, Vincent Vermeij, Ben Bobzien, and Kaan Inanoglu before halftime. Robert Wagner added a sixth goal shortly after the break, sealing a one-sided affair. While Dresden eased the tempo in the second half, they maintained firm control of the match.
