Dželjalj Svečlja Announces Full Name of Arrested Suspect in Banjska Case

Kosovo's Interior Minister, Dželjalj Svečlja, has publicly identified Stefan Radulović as a suspect arrested in connection with the Banjska incident, labeling him a participant in a "terrorist attack." Svečlja's strong statement, posted on Facebook, declared that "terrorists have no place in our country" and vowed that those responsible would be held accountable. He asserted that Kosovo's authorities are committed to upholding constitutionality and legality, signaling a firm stance against those involved in the events of Banjska. The Kosovo Special Prosecution confirmed the arrest of S.R., who is facing charges related to "committing a terrorist act and serious crimes against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo." The arrest occurred at the Merdare crossing, and the suspect has been detained for 48 hours. This development follows the prosecution's request for life sentences for three other Serbs accused in the Banjska case, highlighting Kosovo's determination to prosecute those involved in the September 2023 armed attack.
