Ecuador president orders security for Labor Minister Gellibert

Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa has officially decreed security measures for the newly appointed Minister of Labor, Cynthia Natalie Gellibert Mora. The executive order, signed on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, establishes protection protocols for the minister.

Gellibert Mora was appointed to lead the Ministry of Labor just five days prior, on June 5, through Executive Decree No. 410. This decree also mandated the preparation of a risk assessment report to evaluate the necessity of security provisions for the minister.

Following the assessment, the Presidential Military House issued a classified report, CMP-B2-3.2-2026-001-S. The report's conclusions indicated a need for security and protection for Minister Gellibert due to an identified risk profile.

Consequently, Executive Decree No. 417, Article 1, stipulates that the Presidential Military House is responsible for providing the necessary protection and security to Cynthia Natalie Gellibert Mora. This measure took effect immediately upon signing and awaits official publication in the Registry.
