Ecuador's voluntary military service begins enlistment for 2007 intake

Ecuador's Joint Armed Forces Command has announced the schedule for the 2007 conscription intake, with physical enlistment sessions planned for the weekend of September 26-27, 2026. This process is for young men seeking to fulfill their voluntary civic military service.

Aspiring conscripts are expected to report to designated military units between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM on either Saturday or Sunday. In Quito, three key locations have been established: the "Reino de Quito" Logistic Command in the El Pintado neighborhood, the 13th "Pichincha" Infantry Brigade in Mejía canton, and the Army Corps of Engineers, which will only accept applicants on Saturday.

Nationwide, various authorized mobilization bases and centers will host similar enlistment events. A mandatory online registration through the official Armed Forces website is required before attending the physical sessions. This digital step is crucial for streamlining data validation for the 2007 intake and must be completed by September 26, 2026.

Applicants must be between 18 and 21 years old to participate in the voluntary military service program. The directive aims to manage the intake process efficiently, ensuring all necessary initial checks and formalizations are completed within the specified timeframe.
