Ecuadorian artist gifts painting to football idol Vozinha in Chile

Seventeen-year-old Ecuadorian artist María José Palacios fulfilled a dream by presenting a painting to her idol, footballer Vozinha, in Santiago, Chile. Palacios, inspired by Vozinha's story during the tournament, spent three days creating the painting. She traveled to Chile on vacation with her family, carrying the artwork with her. The artist and her mother waited outside the hotel where Vozinha was staying, hoping for a chance encounter.

Their patience paid off when Vozinha emerged from breakfast. Palacios approached him, presented the painting, and received a signed autograph in return. "I felt a lot of emotion and admiration for meeting my idol," she said.
