Education: What co-curricular activities to be integrated into school hours?

Rwanda is set to implement a revised school timetable that integrates co-curricular activities directly into the school day, moving beyond traditional academic instruction.

Under the new schedule, formal lessons will conclude at 3:30 p.m. Following this, students will engage in structured co-curricular activities from 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. This dedicated time will be allocated for a variety of pursuits, including sports, participation in various clubs, and practical skills programs.

The initiative reflects a broader educational philosophy aimed at fostering well-rounded development. By incorporating these activities within the school framework, Rwanda seeks to ensure that students have opportunities to explore interests, develop talents, and acquire practical skills alongside their academic studies.
