Educational grant applications open in Kazakhstan: instructions

Kazakhstan has streamlined its educational grant application process with an updated service that automatically verifies if an applicant has already received a state educational grant outside the competition. This new feature, integrated with data from the National Testing Center, aims to prevent duplicate applications and simplify the procedure.

Applicants who have previously been awarded a state grant will be notified by the system upon submission and will not need to reapply through eGov.kz or the eGov Mobile app. Those who do not fall into this category will proceed with their applications under the standard process. Applicants eligible for preferential categories can indicate their status during submission, which will be confirmed automatically.

During the application period, the eGov.kz portal may activate an electronic queue to manage high traffic. Users can opt for SMS notifications to be alerted when their turn approaches, avoiding the need to manually monitor the queue. The system will send messages from the number 1414 to registered mobile phones. It is advised that users do not close or refresh their browser page while in the queue to maintain their position.

Upon successful application, individuals will receive an electronic certificate confirming their participation in the educational grant competition. The competition results are expected by August 10, with winners receiving an award certificate and others receiving a notification of refusal. All notifications and certificates will be available in the user's personal account on the eGov.kz portal.
