Eid-el-Kabir: Nigeria needs unity not separation, says Ansar-Ud-Deen

Adeniji Kazeem, the National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, has stressed that Nigeria's future hinges on unity, not division, particularly in his Eid message.

Kazeem highlighted Nigeria's diversity as a potent force for cooperation, urging citizens to resist divisive tendencies and instead foster collaboration across ethnic, religious, and social lines. "Our future will not be secured by suspicion and separation, but by justice, mutual respect and our shared commitment to nation-building," he stated.

He directed his message to political leaders and public office holders, reminding them that leadership is a sacred trust requiring commitment to justice, transparency, and the welfare of the populace. Kazeem also called on citizens to actively reject corruption, intolerance, and any actions that could destabilize the nation.

As Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid-ul-Kabir, Kazeem encouraged Nigerians to embody the festival's core values of sacrifice, justice, compassion, and unity. He noted that the significance of Eid extends beyond religious observances, serving as a reminder of the sacrifices needed for national development and collective progress. The Ansar-Ud-Deen president also urged generosity and kindness towards those in need.
