Eight Arrested in Nezahualcóyotl for Various Robbery and Theft Offenses

Nezahualcóyotl, Mexico – Authorities have apprehended eight individuals suspected of involvement in a series of property-related offenses across the municipality. The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure public safety, targeting various forms of theft and robbery.

In the Maravillas neighborhood, police detained Geovanny Alexis “N” after he allegedly robbed a citizen of cash using a knife. During the intervention, authorities seized the stolen money, a bladed weapon, and the mototaxi the suspect attempted to use for his escape. In a separate incident in Plaza de Aragón, motorized police officers arrested Enrique “N,” accused of violently robbing a pedestrian. Recovered items included cash and a mobile phone.

Further arrests were made in La Perla, where Mauricio “N” was detained for allegedly stealing a cell phone. Police recovered the device and secured a replica firearm. In other operations, officers from Sector 11 UTN apprehended José “N” and Celso “N,” suspected of robbing commercial establishments, including an Oxxo convenience store and a Zorro Abarrotero supermarket. Stolen merchandise was recovered in these instances.

Additionally, Alejandro “N” was arrested in connection with the theft of a motorcycle, with the vehicle being recovered. Carlos Francisco “N” was apprehended after a violent robbery at an Oxxo store, where liquor bottles, cash, and a knife believed to be used in the assault were seized. Finally, Rigoberto Centeno “N” was detained in Plazas de Aragón, accused by a woman of stealing cash from her purse.

All eight individuals have been transferred to the Public Ministry for legal proceedings. Vicente Ramírez García, General Commissioner of Citizen Security, highlighted these arrests as a direct response to public trust and affirmed the commitment to strengthening police presence to prevent crime and protect residents.
