Eight new air links boost travel options from Oman this summer

Travelers seeking summer holidays or business trips will find expanded options as Oman Air and SalamAir introduce four new routes. These initiatives are designed to bolster connectivity and access growing tourism markets.

Oman Air, the national carrier, will commence direct flights from Muscat to Singapore on July 2, with services to Sochi, Russia, starting the same day. A new route from Muscat to Tashkent will launch on July 3, and direct flights between Dubai and Salalah will also begin on July 3. "Our network continues to evolve as we identify opportunities to connect Oman with high-potential markets," stated a senior Oman Air official.

Low-cost carrier SalamAir is also broadening its reach. New routes are planned to Vienna in June, the Indonesian city of Medan in July, and Mogadishu, Somalia, starting September 3. In preparation for its Tashkent service, Oman Air partnered with the Uzbekistan Embassy in Oman for an event focused on advancing bilateral tourism and business relations.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Hamood Al Alwai, Deputy CEO of Oman Air, government officials, and tourism industry professionals. Oman Air's Muscat–Tashkent service will operate twice weekly from July 3, 2026. The new routes to Singapore, Sochi, and Dubai–Salalah are expected to boost tourism and business travel across the network.
