Producer Roberto Gómez Fernández revealed that the film will explore a less-familiar phase of the character's early life, offering a new perspective on the hero created by Roberto Gómez Bolaños. This expansion into live-action marks a significant step for the beloved franchise, which has recently seen its characters integrated into modern platforms like the video game Fortnite.

While the production team is prioritizing the story's development before casting, they have confirmed that the film will feature real actors and will not be animated. There are also other projects in the works within the Chespirito universe, including a series focused on the character Don Ramón and a new animated iteration of 'El Chavo del 8'. The animated series 'Los Colorado' continues to air.
