El Turco Naím recalls the time he nearly confronted Jorge Rial over a comment about Emilia Attias

Julio “El Turco” Naím revisited a tense episode with Jorge Rial, remembering how a single comment nearly turned an early relationship with Emilia Attias into a confrontation.

Speaking on *PH: Podemos Hablar*, Naím said he had generally handled online hate without much trouble. But when he was beginning his relationship with Attias, Rial made what Naím considered a deeply dismissive remark: “Dear, you have to pray an Our Father every day,” or words to that effect.

Naím said he immediately called Rial’s assistant and demanded to speak with the presenter. In the heat of the moment, he threatened to go and find him. “I lost my temper, but I regretted it afterward,” he recalled. Rial apparently realized that Naím intended to come over and stopped the escalation, telling him not to come and promising not to talk about him anymore. Naím agreed, and the dispute ended there.

The actor said their relationship is now entirely different. They meet, hug and joke with each other, he said, describing the old clash with laughter.

Naím also spoke about returning to single life after more than two decades with Attias, with whom he shares a daughter. He said people idealize being single while married, only to discover that reality feels far less glamorous. He described struggling with everyday decisions, even asking whether he was dressed properly when there was no longer anyone at home to ask.

Over time, he said, he found his balance and developed his own routines. Separation remained difficult, especially on Sundays, but he said he now feels calm and on the right path.
