Eleven "Los Rusos" members arrested in Acapulco, face pre-trial detention

Authorities in Acapulco, Guerrero, have arrested eleven individuals suspected of belonging to the criminal organization "Los Rusos." A judge has ordered preventative detention for all eleven, who face charges including drug possession and violations of the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives.

The arrests were made in flagrante delicto during searches conducted by agents from the Attorney General's Office (FGR) and personnel from the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC). The operations took place across nine locations in various neighborhoods of Acapulco, including Costa Azul, Miguel de la Madrid, and Infonavit Alta Progreso.

During the coordinated raids, law enforcement officials seized two handguns, ammunition of various calibers, three vehicles, cash, 51 bags of marijuana, and 117 bags containing a crystalline solid substance. Additionally, eleven cell phones and the nine properties where the suspects were apprehended were secured. The Federal Public Ministry presented sufficient evidence for a control judge to link the individuals to the charges and impose provisional detention, granting two months for complementary investigation.
