‘Eluney,’ wanted in Pilar black-widow robbery, arrested with drug case pending

She called herself Eluney online. At 21, investigators say, Lourdes Milagros Rodríguez was already wanted in connection with a so-called black-widow robbery in Pilar and had another active arrest warrant in a drug case.

According to the investigation, Rodríguez met a 31-year-old man through Instagram on July 24. He invited her to his home on Ana María Mogas Street in Pilar. After they drank, he lost consciousness. When he woke, the woman had disappeared, along with cash in pesos and foreign currency, a PlayStation 4, an HP laptop, a Samsung S25 phone and his house keys.

Investigators from the Pilar Departmental Investigations Subdivision reviewed video footage and identified the vehicle used by the woman and one of her alleged accomplices. That information led to an address in José C. Paz and to search and arrest warrants.

Buenos Aires provincial police found Rodríguez at a home in the María Teresa de Calcuta neighborhood. They also discovered an active warrant for alleged possession of narcotics for sale, issued by a San Martín judicial investigation unit. A further search in Merlo led to the seizure of a phone and a passport application receipt. Nearby, officers stopped a Toyota Etios carrying two men. One, a 29-year-old Venezuelan national, was arrested, while an 18-year-old Chilean national was urgently detained on suspicion of covering up a crime. Authorities also said he had entered Argentina illegally. Searches recovered four phones, 11,700 pesos, $100, a black hooded garment, perfume allegedly belonging to the victim, four glass dropper bottles and identity documents.
