Emcali Schedules Extensive Maintenance for Water, Energy, and Lighting Services in Cali

Empresas Municipales de Cali (Emcali) has announced a series of operational activities scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2026, in Cali, Colombia. The planned work targets the modernization and repair of the city's essential services, including water, energy, and sanitation systems.

The water management division will conduct corrective maintenance due to ruptures and breakdowns in specific locations, including Barrio La Flora, Barrio Bolivariano, and Barrio Santa Mónica Residencial. Additionally, technical teams will inspect water distribution networks in areas like Barrio Alirio Mora Beltrán, Barrio Marroquín, and Barrio Olímpico to diagnose potential issues.

In the energy sector, Emcali's operational group will focus on the Circuito Aranjuez, performing technical checks to correct distribution network faults and normalize power flow. The public lighting division will undertake a plan to replace and repair 57 light points across six key sectors: Pasoancho, Barrio Olímpico, Barrio La Cascada, Barrio El Ingenio, Barrio Cristóbal Colón, and Barrio Camino Real, aiming to improve visibility and safety.

Furthermore, the sanitation management will carry out cleaning and sediment removal operations in the south and east of Cali to mitigate the risks of flooding and wastewater backup. These comprehensive interventions are designed to ensure the continuous, efficient, and high-quality delivery of essential public services while proactively addressing potential failures.
