Emergency Services at Generoso Guardia Polyclinic Temporarily Suspended for Disinfection

The emergency services at the Generoso Guardia Polyclinic in Santa Librada, Panama, will be temporarily suspended to allow for scheduled cleaning and disinfection. The Cassa de Seguro Social (CSS), which manages the polyclinic, announced the measure to ensure biosecurity and a safe environment for patients and staff.

The suspension is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, and will last until 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026. During this period, the CSS urges individuals needing emergency care to seek services at alternative locations.

Patients requiring urgent attention can go to the Manuel María Valdés Polyclinic or the Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex, both of which offer 24-hour emergency services. Additionally, the emergency service at the Dr. Edilberto Culiolis Polyclinic will be available until 7:00 p.m. each day.

The CSS advises the public to make necessary arrangements and utilize the alternative facilities while the disinfection work is underway at the Generoso Guardia Polyclinic. This proactive measure aims to maintain high standards of health and safety within the healthcare system.
