'Empty Promises': Cockroach Janta Party Warns of New Protests, Cites Government Betrayal

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has issued a stern warning to the central government, threatening to reignite protests if prior commitments made to conclude demonstrations at Jantar Mantar are not fulfilled.

The CJP, an online group that has evolved into a pressure movement, accused the government of "vishwasghat," or betrayal, and of shattering the trust of the nation's youth. The party stated its intention to convene on August 24 to strategize its next steps.
