Energy Pioneers summer programme 2026 concludes

Oman's OQ Group has successfully concluded its "Energy Pioneers" summer program for 2026, an initiative that engaged over 270 children in four weeks of applied educational experiences. The program aimed to broaden participants' horizons, equip them with essential future skills, and refine their character.

Implemented as part of OQ's social investment initiatives, the program was a collaboration with Omran Group and the Early Intervention Association for Children with Disabilities. It featured a blend of interactive workshops, practical activities, and field excursions. Key areas of focus included safety, entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), innovation, sustainability, tourism, and fostering Omani national identity.

The initiative saw significant participation from volunteers, with over 110 individuals dedicating more than 950 hours. These volunteers shared their knowledge and practical expertise across the program's four core tracks, effectively linking corporate volunteering with valuable learning opportunities for the children.

Furthermore, the program emphasized inclusivity by partnering with the Early Intervention Association for Children with Disabilities. This collaboration ensured that children with disabilities had access to these enriching educational experiences, reflecting a commitment to reaching all segments of society.
