English Footballer Ivan Toney Charged with Assault After London Nightclub Incident

English international footballer Ivan Toney is facing legal trouble in the UK, having been charged with assault. The 30-year-old striker, currently playing for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, is accused of causing bodily harm during an incident at a nightclub in London's Soho district.

Reports indicate the incident began when a fan aggressively grabbed Toney's arm to take a photo. After repeated requests for the fan to step away, Toney allegedly pushed the man. The situation escalated, leading to Toney headbutting the fan. Five police officers responded to the scene.

The fan who was headbutted was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. The alleged events took place on December 6, with charges officially filed on July 31. Toney is scheduled to appear before the Westminster Magistrates' Court on September 24.
