Enugu Governor Approves Scholarships for Over 760 Students and Teachers

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has sanctioned scholarships for more than 760 individuals, encompassing students and teachers, under the state's 2025/2026 Local Scholarship Scheme. This initiative is a key component of the administration's strategy to expand educational opportunities and bolster human capital development across the state.

Chukwuemeka Mbah, the Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Scholarship and Education Loans Board, announced that the beneficiaries were selected from all 17 local government areas of Enugu State. The cohort includes 500 undergraduate students, 100 postgraduate students, and 160 public sector teachers pursuing various fields of study. Successful candidates who passed the Computer-Based Test are currently being notified via text messages and emails for verification and documentation processes.

Governor Mbah highlighted that the scholarship scheme underscores his administration's dedication to investing in education. The program aims to empower young people and equip the state's workforce with essential knowledge and skills to drive Enugu's development agenda forward. He urged those who received notifications to promptly complete the verification steps.
