Environment Ministry closes access to Valle Nuevo Park due to forest fire

The Ministry of Environment has implemented a temporary closure of Valle Nuevo National Park to the public, prompted by a significant forest fire affecting the protected area. The ministry announced this precautionary measure via its social media channels, stating that access will be reinstated once safe conditions for visitors are re-established.

"Access will be reopened as soon as safe conditions exist to receive visitors," the authorities confirmed. Forest firefighters and personnel dedicated to the protected area remain deployed on the ground, diligently working to combat the wildfire.

Valle Nuevo National Park is a crucial component of the Central Mountain Range, an area rich in protected zones vital for water resources.
