EPL: Aston Villa agree Garnacho loan deal with Chelsea

Aston Villa has reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign winger Alejandro Garnacho on loan, with an obligation-to-buy clause that is likely to become mandatory. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal is complete, with Villa manager Unai Emery being a key figure in pushing for the player's arrival. The obligation-to-buy clause is considered easily triggerable, and Chelsea anticipates the transfer becoming permanent in 2027.

Garnacho is reportedly set to sign a four-year contract with Villa Park and has begun the final stages of his medical. The 22-year-old winger will provide additional attacking options for Emery as he continues to strengthen the squad. This move represents another significant transfer for Chelsea, who are expected to secure a future permanent fee for the player as part of the agreement.

During his tenure at Chelsea, Garnacho made 43 appearances across all competitions, starting 22 matches and accumulating 2,397 minutes on the field. The Argentine winger contributed eight goals and provided four assists during his time at Stamford Bridge.
