EPL: Four players set to leave Chelsea, club confirms

Chelsea Football Club has announced that four players will leave the club when their current contracts conclude on June 30, 2026. This confirmation follows the release of the club's retained and released list at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Defender Brodi Hughes is set to depart after a 13-year tenure in Chelsea's academy. He joined the club as an Under-8 player and worked his way through the ranks at Cobham, spending the previous season on loan at League One side AFC Wimbledon.

Richard Olise, who has been with the club for a decade, will also move on. Olise joined Chelsea as an Under-9 and represented the club across various youth levels. He was notably included in the first-team squad for a UEFA Conference League trip to Astana during the 2024/25 season.

Midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi will also leave the Blues after making four first-team appearances. He joined the academy at the age of eight, progressed through the youth system at Cobham, and has represented England at youth international level. During the 2024/25 season, Rak-Sakyi made his debut in the UEFA Conference League against Noah and featured in three additional matches in the competition.

Jimi Tauriainen is the fourth player confirmed to be leaving. He joined Chelsea in 2020 and was previously named among the first-team substitutes for the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool in 2024. Tauriainen made his first-team debut in an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Leeds United and also appeared in the Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur in the same season.

Striker Ronnie Stutter, however, will continue his association with the club under a month-to-month contract.
