EPL: Late Szoboszlai penalty earns Liverpool 2-2 draw against Newcastle

Liverpool snatched a dramatic 2-2 draw against Newcastle United at St. James' Park, courtesy of a last-gasp penalty converted by Dominik Szoboszlai. The Hungarian midfielder coolly dispatched the spot-kick with virtually the final action of the match, denying Newcastle a victory they had held twice.

Newcastle had appeared set for three points after goals from Anthony Elanga and Joe Willock. Elanga opened the scoring early, finishing neatly after being played through by William Osula. Liverpool managed to pull level in the second half through Cody Gakpo's accurate strike from distance, but their joy was short-lived.
