EPL: Liverpool make approach for Brighton winger Minteh — Reports

Liverpool has reportedly initiated contact with Brighton & Hove Albion to discuss a potential transfer for winger Yankuba Minteh, as the Anfield club seeks to bolster its attacking options. The 22-year-old Gambia international has become a notable player for Brighton since his arrival from Newcastle for £30 million in 2024.

Minteh, who primarily operates on the right wing, has contributed 10 goals and nine assists across 73 appearances for Brighton. He is currently recovering from a leg injury sustained during a recent friendly match against Roma.

The Reds are actively looking to strengthen their wide attacking capabilities, particularly following the departure of Mohamed Salah. The club is expected to evaluate several targets before the transfer window closes.

Earlier this summer, Liverpool secured the signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34 million. Munoz is a versatile forward who can play on the wing or as a central striker. Meanwhile, Liverpool continues to prioritize Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, though a significant difference in valuation persists between the two clubs. PSG reportedly seeks around £145 million for the French international, while Liverpool aims for a deal closer to £100 million.
