Equestrian Athletes Compete at Tartu Grand Prix

Tartu, Estonia, is set to host the international equestrian competition Tartu Grand Prix 2026 at the Ihaste riding center this weekend. The three-day event will showcase both emerging talents and established professional riders, culminating in the visually appealing Ihaste Derby cross-country race.

Enno Pille, the chief organizer of the competition, confirmed that the event will feature local equestrian stars alongside promising young riders. The prize fund has been significantly increased compared to typical equestrian events. The overall winner of the Tartu Grand Prix will be awarded 3,000 euros and the right to use a new car.

Adding to the excitement, the winner of the derby competition will also receive a new car to take home. Pille humorously remarked, "Certainly, the competitors will give their best so they don't have to walk home," highlighting the valuable prizes at stake.
