Erdoğan: Imam-hatip graduates continue to raise the bar for achievement

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told an imam-hatip gathering in Trabzon that the schools are continuing to raise their achievement levels, presenting their graduates as contributors across nearly every major area of public life.

In a video message to the 23rd Imam-Hatip Congress, organized by the ÖNDER Imam-Hatip Graduates Association, Erdoğan greeted the association’s leaders, teachers, academics and young participants. He also sent greetings to imam-hatip graduates in all 81 Turkish provinces and in other countries.

Erdoğan praised ÖNDER for bringing together voluntary organizations, educational institutions, academics, students, teachers and graduates who support the imam-hatip cause. He said the congress’s panels and sessions could contribute to a shared vision by addressing the past, present and future.

He also pointed to the schools’ performance in secondary-school entrance and higher-education examinations. Erdoğan described these results as signs that Turkey had escaped bans and “tutelage restraints” and was returning to normality. He said he firmly believed the young people would become a guarantee for Turkey and the Muslim community.
