EU Denounces Russia's 'Deliberate Strategy' of Drone Incursions and Hybrid Attacks

European leaders have strongly condemned Russia's escalating hybrid warfare tactics, particularly drone incursions into Baltic airspace, which they describe as a deliberate strategy to destabilize democracies. The European Union has taken a firm stance, summoning the Russian charge d'affaires in Brussels following Moscow's threat to expel foreign diplomats from Kyiv.

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Commissioner for Defence Andrius Kubilius visited Lithuania to meet with the presidents of the Baltic states. Their message was clear: the EU unequivocally condemns these "unacceptable" hybrid attacks and Russian threats. They also stressed the EU's commitment to bolstering its defense capabilities along its eastern flank.
