European Film Academy Award Winner and 'Lost Dream Team' Director to Visit Bjelovar

Filmmaker Jure Pavlović, recipient of the European Film Academy award for his short film 'Piknik' in 2015, is set to visit Bjelovar. His appearance is part of the Kino Klub project, which aims to host prominent Croatian filmmakers for free public engagements.

In the continuation of the Kino Klub project, documentary filmmaker Đuro Gavran, producer Bruno Mustić, and actor Ivan Ožegović will be guests in Bjelovar until October, and an online lecture by Japanese director Naomi Kawase is planned for the summer months.

Pavlović, known for his feature films 'Mater' and the documentary 'Izgubljeni dream team' (The Lost Dream Team), will engage in a conversation moderated by actor Ivan Ožegović. The discussion will delve into his inspirations, creative process, and his perspective on the current state of the film industry in Croatia. His documentary 'Izgubljeni dream team' explores the final performance of the Yugoslav men's basketball team before the Yugoslav Wars.

In the conversation moderated by actor Ivan Ožegović, the audience will have the opportunity to learn about Pavlović's inspirations, creative process, and his view on the state of the film industry in Croatia.

In addition to the talk, audiences will have the opportunity to watch screenings of his short films and selected segments from his feature films not currently in general distribution. The Kino Klub project will continue to host other filmmakers, including documentary filmmaker Đuro Gavran and producer Bruno Mustić, with an online lecture planned from Japanese director Naomi Kawase during the summer months. A parallel project offering free workshops for aspiring filmmakers and beginners is also underway, with a screenwriting workshop scheduled for late June.
