Zagreb will host a large open day for Croatian firefighters on June 7, 2026, marking the 150th anniversary of the Croatian Firefighting Association. The event, taking place in front of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, invites adults, children, and families to experience Croatian firefighting firsthand.

The Zagreb Fire Department is organizing the celebration, promising a rich educational and entertaining program. Attendees can look forward to an impressive exhibition of modern firefighting vehicles and equipment from across Croatia. Interactive workshops, demonstrations, and opportunities to interact with firefighters are planned.

Specialized vehicles, including aerial ladder trucks, pumper trucks, and equipment for forest fires and rescue operations from collapsed structures or traffic accidents, will be on display. Throughout the day, visitors can participate in various fun and educational activities led by firefighting mascots, with special interactive content tailored for children and families.

Activities include photo opportunities with themed fire safety posters, a chance to slide down a real fire hose, a race to quickly don firefighting gear, navigating a firefighter's obstacle course, and playing Jenga with hydraulic tools. The event aims to foster a connection between the public and the country's firefighters while celebrating a significant milestone for the association.
